New Rule at 2009 WSOP: What Is It?

June 7th, 2009

cropped-prizemoneyThere are some things in the world that simply do not make sense to me at all and the newest rule at WSOP is actually one that does not make all that much sense to me.  The rule states that if any player that is registered at the event does not show up by the end of the second level blinds, their chips will be removed and their buy-in will be refunded in full.  Now, this absolutely makes no sense to anyone really.

I mean, really, who would miss this event besides Phil Hellmuth but we all know him right?  No matter what stage of player you are, if you are late for the WSOP, you absolutely are a loser and you should definitely not have signed up in the first place – but really, let’s talk about this…

What do you guys think of this new rule?  Like, dislike?  Let me know your thoughts on it!

T.J Cloutier Is One Famous Poker Player!

May 31st, 2009

tj_cloutier

I have to say that I think that T.J Cloutier is definitely one of those players that is incredible.  The way that his mind works and the way that he seems to play poker in general is something that is totally incredible and mind boggling all the way around!  Whether you are looking to learn from this guy or you are looking to play … this guy is absolutely one of the best players in the world.

He was born and raised in California and while today he lives in Texas, he started playing poker not too long enough and he actually ended up quitting his job in order to play poker follow time.  T.J is actually ranked in the top and he definitely has taken home quite a few bracelets.

He has also written a whole lot of different poker books – so that is something that you should look for!

Chris Ferguson: He’s Definitely A Legend!

May 24th, 2009

chris_ferguson

To be completely honest, I had absolutely no idea who Chris Ferguson was before I started writing for this blog but now?  Well, this guy is definitely a legend in the online poker world and that – well, that is freaking incredible!  Not only has this guy won 5 World Series of Poker bracelets, but he has also won over three million dollars, just by playing poker!  That to me is incredible!

Chris was actually born in LA and he started playing poker super early, which would explain why he knows everything about the game.  One thing that people notice most about Chris is the fact that he kind looks like Jesus – actually, that is his nick name!  He goes by that sometimes and he actually has one of the best poker faces in the world … I know I would never want to face him!

Jonathan Abdellatif making a Splash on the Poker Scene

February 24th, 2009

Jonna AbdellatifYoung Belgian poker pro Jonathan Abdellatif (the name reminds us of his Tunesian roots!) has made a big splash in the European poker scene over the past couple months. Where he could be seen playing the lowest limit live games in his home country just over a year ago, he’s now playing in the largest tournaments in the continent, currently cashing in 100% of the big-buyin tournaments he’s entered, something that’s obviously going to get him mentioned on the interweb.

The Mad World of Poker believes in Jonathan Abdellatif and have decided to keep track of his performance in the circuit with special attention. Keep your eyes on the blog for more Jonathan Abdellatif-updates soon — and we hope to have an interview with him available for you soon as well.

Fingers crossed, and may all of Jonathan Abdellatif’s hands be winners!

Daniel Negreanu wins the BC Poker Championship

December 2nd, 2008

Daniel Negreanu is a very famous poker player who plays live Poker and On line Poker to make a living has won the BC Poker Championships in Vancouver.

This time a didnt play the poker online game in a Online Casino or Casino en Ligne as they would say in the French part of Canada but he played in the live Kasino.

Daniel Negreanu has had alot of succes when playing poker. When he play poker online it’s normally for some small stakes and he doesnt really like it. Negeanu is always known for his skill to read opponents and thats alot harder to do when your playing in a casino online.

The beste casino online is that in the real casino Negreanu can really read his opponents and have a egde on his opponents.

The native Canadian did very wel in the River Rock Casino in Richmond. He became first out of 689 players who went for the final in this great poker tournament.

Normally Casinos en Ligne have much less cost then normal Casinos and so the prize money can be alot higher then because the online Casino takes less rake then the normal Casino. For online Poker players this is a great advantage. But we dont think Negeanu will complain because he won $371.000 with his first place victory.

If you want to find out about the beste online casino and the best online bonus poker you can allweays ask Daniel Negreanu about his opinion.

Flop the nut full — turn and river a “play the board”

October 31st, 2008

This is so pokerstars isn’t it? Online poker is rigged.

Poker97.com‘s Lorro flops the nut full house on a 955 board with his pocket nines… Both the turn and the river are fives to completely neutralise his hand — luckily for him his opponent is a brainless idiot that was in there with treys.
