New Rule at 2009 WSOP: What Is It?

There are some things in the world that simply do not make sense to me at all and the newest rule at WSOP is actually one that does not make all that much sense to me. The rule states that if any player that is registered at the event does not show up by the end of the second level blinds, their chips will be removed and their buy-in will be refunded in full. Now, this absolutely makes no sense to anyone really.

I mean, really, who would miss this event besides Phil Hellmuth but we all know him right? No matter what stage of player you are, if you are late for the WSOP, you absolutely are a loser and you should definitely not have signed up in the first place – but really, let’s talk about this…

What do you guys think of this new rule? Like, dislike? Let me know your thoughts on it!

Great upate on Poker Info Source today explaining the success of the world series of poker… I think they’re spot on!

“Big poker tournaments have been broadcast for years but were not highly publicized until millions of people tuned in to watch the 2003 World Series of Poker Main Event. Earlier tournaments did not employ the ‘card cam’, a small camera implanted in the table that allows the viewer to see a player’s cards during a hand. This change completely revolutionized televised poker, as commentators no longer had to blindly guess as to what hands the players were holding. At the same time that the ‘card cam’ technology was implemented, the two players mentioned above won back-to-back tournaments, inspiring thousands to take up the game and buy their way into the WSOP. “

Alright, I’m starting my lookout for free WSOP2008 entries… Can anyone reading this blog who is actually aware of any under $50 satellite tournament let me know using the comments? I don’t mind using anybody’s bonus codes or sign-up referral links — as long as I can enter into these free or cheap WSOP satellite tournaments, I’m happy.

Jennifer Harman talks about the AA bad beat

You can just sense Jennifer Harman is genuinely feeling sad about this, her voice still spells some sort of sadness when you listen to her talking… I feel bad for her too — as it sure is a VERY painful beat…

If this happens on the World Series Of Poker — you feel sick for weeks, I’m sure.
