And I fall victim to a two-outer…
On the RIVER! The painful thing is — it was quite a big pot, that I had built up to perfection…
I’m holding KQos on the button — unopened, I decide to raise 3BB to hopefully steal the pot. No success, the Big Blind decides to call and we see a flop. Great news! KQ4, rainbow — great success! As I always bet a flop after raising, I bet after the BB checked — 3/4 pot, and get called quickly.
Turn: 7s, puts a second spade on the board, but no big problem or so it seems… BB checks, I bet 80% of the pot and get a call. The river is the 7h, and all of a sudden my opponent bets out, BIG, about the size of the pot. My first instinct was to re-raise, but seeing as this guy didn’t look like that good a player, I decided to just call. He flipped over A7. A7!!!! What a beat…..
After the game broke up I asked him why he called both bets on flop and turn, and he admittedly told me he really put me on a bluff… Wow, my table image really turned on me there, didn’t it…
